ThinkfinityNY
ThinkfinityNY is the State Education Partner for the rollout of Verizon Thinkfinity in New York State. Administered and directed by the New York Institute of Technology and the New York State Teacher Centers, the goals of ThinkfinityNY include communicating information about Thinkfinity, arranging trainings, tracking quality and progress against goals, and aligning Thinkfinity content with New York State Learning Standards. To date, over 29,000 NYS teachers and educators in community-based organizations have been trained in the use of the Thinkfinity resources and over 4,000 Thinkfinity lessons and resources have been aligned to New York State Learning Standards.
Thinkfinity.org is the Verizon Foundation's free, comprehensive Web site containing thousands of educational resources, including standards-based, grade-specific K-12 lessons plans, student interactive tools and reference materials. Content is provided through a partnership between the Verizon Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Verizon Communications, and 11 of the nation's leading educational organizations. ThinkQuest Projects provide a flexible framework for engaging students in exploring curricular topics and developing important 21st century skills, such as communication, teamwork, and technology skills. Annual contests bring fun, creativity and the opportunity for students to interact with other students from around the world.
For Educators
Google for Educators provide 24/7 access to free search and collaboration tools for teachers. In addition to document sharing, instant messaging, blogging, a dynamic calendar, and image-sharing downloadable software, Google for Educators now offers Google News, Google Page Creator and Google Groups. A newsletter and teacher’s guide offer tips and examples of how best to implement this powerful array of communication products.

The Educational Enterprise Zone® of the New York Institute of Technology members work collaboratively to bring content experts into the PreK - 12 classroom through interactive videoconferencing programming.
